Catherine Modesto is a Filipino writer born and based in the Philippines. She holds a degree in English Language Studies from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila. She has honed her skills in research, storytelling, and editing through years of teaching English and working on various writing projects -- from news reporting to copywriting.

Her writing career started in 2016 as a copywriter for iFix Center, Inc., an Apple service provider. The following year, she transitioned to journalism, reporting for The Manila Times, the Philippines’ oldest English-language newspaper. 

In 2019, she shifted to digital media, producing news for CNN's former affiliate in the Philippines. 

Her work has been featured and cited by reputable organizations and institutions such as the Southeast Asia Tobacco Control Alliance, Philippine Institute for Development Studies, and the Senate of the Philippines.
